THRILLING NEWS ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON BIOPIC

Image
I'm ending this week with exciting news on DON'T STOP DANCING-the Michael Jackson biopic co-written with producer Gary Revel.

We have an executive producer- Lawrence Ayers- President of Jongleur Music Pictures- reaching out to top celebrities. Ayers retained a leading entertainment attorney as a legal counsel on the film, and the screenplay is gaining interest from high profile agencies.

I will post updates(and hopefully good news) in the upcoming weeks.

Treatments and screenplays progresses

Image
My apologizes for not being able to reply to all your messages this week. I have received more than 100 notes, through my guestbook and facebook account.
Some people prefer to send me their letters through the contact form of my website, some asked me to post them on the guestbook, this will be done in the upcoming weeks.
Thank you, your words touched me so much, and you all have been so supportive!

I’m busy writing new screenplays at the moment and as you know it is an occupation that requires a lot of concentration, therefore I tend to isolate myself when I’m creating new stories. My screenplays are progressing and I’m on page 20 of a new piece.
I’ve also written two 8 pages treatments for an actress interested in producing my work.

Treatments are a great selling tool, they permit busy producers to read the complete story of the script within a few pages.
The treatments usually include the beginning middle and ending of the screenplay. It’s like spoiling all the film for your frie…

I've met so many wonderful, talented and lovely people lately, I'm feeling blessed.
Have a wonderful week-end dear friends, Jordan.

Spider bites, pitching my screenplays and turning off my phone.

Image
First of all, thank you so very much to all those who sent me their supportive messages, either through my website, social network or directly on my guestbook.
You are wonderful, as you see I’m doing well, and  I’ve been extremely busy, this is the reason why you haven’t seen me much online this week.

I’m back at pitching my work, and a very well known French actor who is also a producer requested a copy of one of my scripts, which is  a good and very encouraging (re)start!
I’m also working on my newest projects, including « Morgane »,  « The cat », "The haunted lodge and a french movie project.  I will post more about these scripts in the upcoming weeks.
I would also like to thank my attorney Gerard for the very useful information he sent me recently. He's been a great help to me.
A special note to the two lovely little boys who greeted me on the street several times a few days ago, you told me you visit my website so I hope you'll see this. Your words touched me.

VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO MARIA OLSEN

Image
I wanted to thank actress Maria Olsen from the bottom of my heart.
I'm  writing treatments for her and her producing partner Angel Corbin at the moment and Maria is attached to portray Susan in my screenplay "Miss Clark", which I'm currently pitching too.

Dear Maria, thank you so much  for your wonderful messages, for reading and loving my screenplays and for telling me that my treatments are worth the wait!
You are a wonderful person and an outstanding artist!

TANTOO CARDINAL-AUTOGRAPHED POSTCARD

Image
I was a child when I first saw "Legends of the fall" and "Dance with wolves". I wrote this wonderful actress, certainly telling her of my passion for Native American Indians culture. She replied and sent me that splendid postcard, with this native mask.
I was a kid at this time, and it was like receiving a particle of dream.
Thank you Miss Cardinal.

Here is the postcard she sent me in 1998.

SCREENWRITING ADVICES (PART 2)

THE FAKE AGENTS:

A few days ago, a so-called agent/manager contacted me totally out of the blue using
my website. He did not ask to read any of my screenplays, he just stated that he wanted
to sign an exclusive contract  with me and he worked with prominent stars etc...
I replied asking what was the screenplay he was interested in, he just asked me to send
a log line of one of my scripts, and asked for my phone number. I DO NOT GIVE my phone number so easily.
And several researches have confirmed my doubts: I found out that the "agent"
usually asks writers to pay 200 or 300 dollars to get represented by him.

So why would he ask for your phone number? Because HE CAN NOT WRITE this type of
requests as they are completely illegal. Agents never ask for money to represent you, once again they earn a percentage on what they sell!!!

NEVER, NEVER NEGOTIATE ANYTHING ON THE PHONE!!! Always ask someone to send you emails first and keep writing tracks of the negotiations with them, DO …

We will miss you. Wonderful actor, endearing character in" the green mile". A difficult film to watch for me, especially during the electric chair sequences, (I'm against death sentence) but still, a very beautiful film with a great actor.

Hope for paralysed patients as stem cell jab restores feeling to patients with damaged spines

By Daily Mail Reporter

PUBLISHED: 17:03 GMT, 4 September 2012 | UPDATED: 07:38 GMT, 5 September 2012

Patients with broken spines have reported having feeling restored to areas that had previously been paralysed, after receiving stem cell injections.

Scientists said they were 'encouraged' after two of three patients injected with donated foetal brain tissue responded to treatment at Balgrist University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland.

Each patient had around 20million neural stem cells delivered directly into their injured spinal cords between four and eight months after they were injured.
Early tests suggest stem cells could restore feeling to people with damaged spinal cords

Before the treatment none of the patients could feel anything below the nipples. Just three months after therapy two of the patient…

SCREENWRITING ADVICES (PART 1)

Dear readers and fellow screenwriters

As promised here are a few screenwriting advices, thank you for your questions and
for your confidences in my skills.

An aspiring screenwriter recently asked me if I ever suffered the writer block...
Actually, no! Not because I'm a superhuman screenwriter but only because I truly believe
writer block is a myth. A writer gets the block, when they are afraid to start on a new
project, the idea they're not gonna be skilled, the idea their plot is not gonna
be good enough...The idea they are not going to be published, or not going to pe produced
if they are a screenwriter, when you start writing forget about everything!
Immerse yourself into fiction, it is your plot and it will be your new life for several
days, weeks, months, depending on what you write...

First and foremost, make RESEARCHES...

A fellow screenwriter asked:

WHY DO YOU MEAN BY RESEARCH:

Read articles on the topic you want to develop into your story. Imagine your plot is
about abused women, or…

It's gonna be a busy SEPTEMBER!

As you all know I'm in talks with filmmakers for several screenplays, but also with a publisher for a book...We've been in talks for months,
I'm very choosy, and I want to make sure I'm signing the right contract, I ask many questions, read the contract with my attorney, and we  are trying to get the better conditions for me...I know I'm gonna drive them crazy! But obviously, I don't want to waste my time.
They really want me since they've been as patient until now, to answer all my questions and wait for my decision. I will let you know what I have decided regarding the book.
