Financial crisis keeps messing up with screenwriters life

I recently received two reviews for screenplays submission made a few weeks ago, one was for a short script, and another for a feature.
My short script had made it among the 5 screenplays selected by the producers for their next movie project, but it required too many locations, so they had to opt for another one.
Same issue for the feature, « Parker and Barrow« , the production company told me it was in the final choices (selected among a thousand ones), and one of the strongest screenplays they had received in years, but the script is a gangster period piece and was a little too expensive for their actual budget.

Dear financial crisis, when will you stop messing up screenwriters life?
