CASTER UN ACTEUR POUR UN ROLE D'ORDURE...LE PIEGE- CASTING THE ROLE OF THE BASTARD IN FRENCH FILM TRAPPED

 En plein procédé de casting  pour "LE PIEGE" qui doit se tourner en France en 2023, je propose actuellement le scénario à plusieurs talents, les premiers rôles ont trouvé rapidement leurs acteurs en revanche caster pour le rôle de POSSAH est plus compliqué, à la lecture beaucoup d'acteurs sont mal à l'aise à l'idée d'interpréter une ordure ce sont leurs mots (je ne nommerai personne) qui conduit un homme à la mort à force de racket et de harcèlement...Sachant que l'histoire est qui plus est basée sur des faits réels...

Difficile pour un comédien de prendre la décision d'interpréter un salopard que tout le monde va détester...Un choix courageux qui peut devenir le rôle marquant d'une carrière. 

Compliqué également pour moi de caster quelqu'un dont j'apprécie de talent dans le rôle de ce monstre, il faut essayer de se détacher de la véritable histoire pour la voir au travers des acteurs qui donneront vie au film.

In the middle of the casting process for "Trapped" which is to be filmed in France in 2023, I am currently proposing the script to several talents, the first roles have quickly found their actors, but casting for the role of POSSAH is more complicated, as upon reading the script, many actors felte uncomfortable with the idea of playing a scumbag (I won't name anyone, but that's their word) who leads a man to his death through racketeering and harassment...Especially when they know the story is based on actual events...

It's hard for an actor to make the decision to play a bastard that everyone will hate... A courageous choice that can become the defining role of a career. 

It's also difficult for me to cast someone whose talent I appreciate in the role of this monster, we must try to detach ourselves from the real story to see it through the actors who will bring the film to life.
