ESP: AN EXTRA SENSE: SYNOPSIS

This docu-fiction starts off as a journey
into the human brain. Still a mystery to this day, it’s
connections, how it works and above all, its
unexplored capabilities. We meet with our lead character, Dale Bell, still a
baby, starting to learn, new senses, new words, new
shapes.
It is the summer Southern California, mid 1980’s. Dale an entertainer,
performing magic for clubs and events.
One day he returns to his favorite magic
shop to find new effects. The vendor convinces him
to purchase a pack of Zener cards. These cards were
developed at Duke University to test
mental telepathy. As Dale says, many years ago, he had no prior
understanding of Extra Sensory
Perception...or ESP. But an eventful meeting, call it
luck, or fate, drove him to question himself on that matter. From this moment on, he never stopped searching for answers.
This meeting happens within few days after in a shopping mall: meeting with a beautiful young woman working there. From the start, the woman is shrouded in mystery and when they get to Dale's apartment, he tries to impress her with his card tricks, and uses his Zener cards.
In testing her, Dale quickly realizes that Sandra actually possesses exceptional skills. With high IQ, and intuition, her brain is processing faster than most human beings. Guessing 20 out of 25 cards correct has a chance of 1 in 5 billion. Sandra guesses them all in a row.
Deeply transformed by that meeting, Dale takes us on a journey into ESP history, including that with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Currently, we will also learn more on telepathic abilities in children, animals, twins, and relatives. Haunted by this experience, he would like to determine the truth on ESP. On his journey, he finds some believe, some do not. Can he find answers to mental telepathy? With just remembering her first name, can he ever find her again?
