HOUDINI: MOVIE RECOMMENDATION
I really liked Houdini's difficult beginnings in the States,, the rejection his father was victim of, which pushed him to want to surpass himself, to not want to just disappear, which never happened since Houdini became a legend thanks to his inventiveness and courage (jumping off a bridge into a frozen lake for example).
I loved the beautiful love story with his wife Bess, (who was afraid for him at each of his performances, escapes and his very dangerous tricks) and his very strong relationship with his mother, which was really moving.
Finally, I was blown away by Adrien Brody's amazing performance as always (is there anything this man can't do?), so much that being writing a script for a production company at the moment, I have decided to write the male lead with Brody in mind, we'll see what happen in the next few months in terms of budget, cast, director etc...But writing a film with Brody in mind, can't never never be a bad thing. Can't it?
A magic story for a magic escape artist! A must see!
